AMIRA Organic Farming

AMIRA Organic Farming Projects are located in ‘The Terai Regions’ of India. Here, the divine waters of the holy Ganga and Yamuna nurture the land, making the area world famous for the production of high quality, traditional basmati rice.

Today, the AMIRA group is associated with over 5200 Organic farmers, who cultivate an area of about 7850 hectares. AMIRA has long-term contracts with farmers to ensure:

  • Provision of the best quality seeds and bio-inputs to them
  • Provision of practice packages, technical guidance, marketing linkage and platforms for various Organic crops
  • Their training that gives them access to the best organic and sustainable methods of farming
